  Who is going to make the earth a paradise?

  when i was a jw elder and dreamed of living in paradise, i pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about god.

  the only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury.

  then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools?

  Just think at one time I thought I was among the most intelligent folks in the world, but why burst their bubble.I wish I still believed in a paradise earth, it was comforting to think my last breath will not be the end but life ever lasting after a short sleep. That part of waking up (no paradise) was difficult ..What would be the point in trying to convince a 70-90 year old, the paradise you believe waiting for you is a fairy tale.

  jw: didn't we just hear somebody say that the sun's gonna blow up?.

  me: well, they were saying that it will expand and eventually burn out.. jw: but it can't do that, it just keeps blowing up inside and getting more power.. me: well, they were talking about stars in general, how they have a life span.. jw: but god didn't make it that way, it's firmly established to time indefinite.

  it's not like the sun is a regular star.

  so as is my habit when i need a good laugh at stupid chat forum threads i popped in to the jay double u talk site and happened on this hilarious thread.

  of course i have not read the whole thing, it was just too mentally painful to read those nitwits "reasoning"about "music".. why jehovah's witnesses do not use drums.... .

  FedUpjw you got to be careful with those drums. The Babylon Bee news.."Demons appears on church stage as drum set introduced". Jan. 13, 2017 Dermott, AR. "One minute the drummer was counting off the upbeat time signature , and the next minute an ominous hairy creature (sorry it's difficult writing this, can't stop laughing) with horns and a head was spinning backward, yes all kind of weird stuff. Members all ran out of the church because the demons had taken over the service. Not sure if this story is for real, but it sounds like one of JW stories..LOL Maybe some one can post the article, funny as hell...

  What does shunning acomplish?

  well in order to shun someone you must dehumanize them much like what occurred in slavery.

  dehumanizing someone now allows you treat them worst then an animal.

  and now you can justify ignoring them there not human anymore.

  Shunning has the same effect as the flood, what did it accomplish. What has help me over the years (since 1987) with shunning, understanding the other side and being empathetic. I raised my kids to be good JW's and in their mind it is the most loving act, shunning.

  president trump is definitely a demagogue, a populist, and not a great extemporaneous speaker, just to mention few of his more conspicuous flaws.

  however, i was going along because "it's the economy stupid".

  now that has changed.

  WTH..Trump tweet lashed out at Alec Baldwin, the actor who played him in SNL..."Alex, it was also agony for those who were forced to watch, you were terrible. Bring back Darrell Hammond much funnier and far greater talent.
